Pino Frumiento

“We have transformed people’s views about people with learning disabilities. We’ve shown them that there is more to us than they think.”

Pino co-founded Heart n Soul with Mark Williams in 1986 and has built a vibrant songwriting career ever since. His music often explores themes of love and romance, drawing inspiration from artists like Cliff Richard, The Beatles, and Dusty Springfield.

Pino is releasing his long awaited new EP ‘Dreams’ in January 2026. Other Heart n Soul artists were the initial inspiration for the EP. Pino saw them doing great things - making albums and performing live - and it lit a fire in him to write his own tracks for a new solo release. “The songs are about love, in a way. I’m a loving man, I’m a romantic person, so I wanted people to know that. I care about people.”

The EP also features Charles Stuart, Mark Williams, Ned Smith and Rikki Jodelko.

Pino has worked on a number of Heart n Soul projects including Heart n Soul at the Hub, Believe In Us and most recently the Wellcome Libary project. Pino has been awarded an MBE for his contribution to disability arts.
