  • Around 1.4 million people in the UK have a learning disability

  • They are one of the most excluded groups in our society

  • They have a life expectancy of around 20 years lower than a non-disabled person

  • At least half the learning disabled population experience loneliness and isolation

  • They also face prejudice, poverty, unemployment and poor mental health.

How We Help

Heart n Soul’s Taking Part programme, including Allsorts and Do Your Own Thing, leads to people having more confidence and living more independent lives. Many go on to perform their music and show artwork in mainstream venues, contributing to society and sharing their talents with the world.

Support Our Taking Part Programme…

Our Taking Part programme makes a huge difference to the lives of adults and young people with learning disabilities. They are only made possible with funding and donations. Please help us by donating or fundraising for us.
