See The People On The Shelf
See The People On The Shelf was a new exhibition from The Feel Good Designers at DKUK, a creative hair salon and exhibition space in Peckham. Created in an environment ruled by kindness, mutual support and boundless imagination, new works by The Feel Good Designers, each with their own unique style and character, could be found in every corner of the salon!
Feel Good Designers showing work in this exhibition are: Alicia, Ariel, Aysen, Danielle, Ella, Ifeoma, Jade, Josh Donnelly, Kimberly, Samir Hnana and Samuel.
Here’s a small selection of photos from the exhibition, you can see the full set here.
The Mish Mash Family Trail was created for Southbank Centre’s Imagine Children’s Festival. Interactive artworks popped up across the building and the terrace, including a fidget spinner wall, giant chalkboard and a host of colourful characters. Explore the exhibition in the gallery below, or hit play on the official Mish Mash playlist!
The House of Do Your Own Thing
“A residency is like having your own land where you can build what you want and we wanted to build a house! So we built The House of Do Your Own Thing. It had art, music, video, radio and a playlist from the DJs you could listen to.”
In May 2021 the Feel Good Designers had a residency on The White Pube, a website that writes about art, games and food. In 2021 and 2022, the group brought the House of Do Your Own Thing to life at South London Gallery and Lewisham Arthouse.
“Online is good but making it real is better. There were decorations and artwork everywhere. We thought the more artwork, the better! The more it will catch people's eyes!”
Look at the gallery below to see how the House of Do Your Own Thing began online - and then came to life in the real world!
