Volunteering

Volunteering at Heart n Soul offers the chance to gain experience in the arts, support vulnerable adults, and make new friends.

There are two roles to choose from:

Taking Part volunteers

Taking Part volunteers help at Allsorts, Do Your Own Thing, Music Jam and Choir sessions at the Albany in Deptford.

Event volunteers

Event volunteers help at club nights in the Deptford area and sometimes other parts of London. These would suit someone looking for a more casual commitment.

Volunteering might involve any of the following things:

• Supporting participants to take part in different creative activities

• Welcoming people as they arrive or leave the event

• Helping to evaluate and collect feedback

• Supporting session leaders in activity delivery

We also offer volunteers:

Current Opportunities

We are looking for volunteers to join our Music Jam sessions!

When? One Wednesday a month, 1pm - 4:30pm.
Where? The Albany in Deptford.
What? Supporting participants to take part in an improvised music session. The session is led by Heart n Soul artist Robyn Steward.

This is a Taking Part Volunteer role, which is a regular commitment. We’re looking for volunteers with some skills and experience in live music.

Travel expenses can be covered for London zones 1-6, or equivalent.

All volunteers need an enhanced DBS check dated within the last three years. We can get this for you if you do not already have one.
