Volunteering at Heart n Soul offers the chance to gain experience in the arts, support vulnerable adults, and make new friends.

There are two roles to choose from:

Taking Part volunteers

Taking Part volunteers help at Allsorts, Do Your Own Thing, Music Jam and Choir sessions at the Albany in Deptford.

Event volunteers

Event volunteers help at club nights in the Deptford area and sometimes other parts of London. These would suit someone looking for a more casual commitment.

Volunteering might involve any of the following things:

  • Supporting participants to take part in different creative activities

  • Welcoming people as they arrive or leave the event

  • Helping to evaluate and collect feedback

  • Supporting session leaders in activity delivery

We also offer volunteers:

  • Travel expenses

  • A free, enhanced DBS check

  • 15% off the Heart n Soul Shop
