It was nice being part of a group – it felt quite good. In the film I interviewed people about UFOs, eclipses, flying saucers and crop circles. In the beginning I was a bit nervous but as the filming went on, my confidence increased and I began to feel more positive. Sometimes people came up to me in the street and gave me a hard time – I had to bite my tongue and not let it bother me. I found it a bit frustrating but just carried on.

I’ve been a member of Positive Hearts at Heart ‘n Soul for almost a year now and I really enjoy it. I’ve got to know a few people since being at the Beautiful Octopus Club. I used to be a bit shy and didn’t know many people.

I used to work at Liberty as a lift operator and am used to meeting famous people like Sue Pollard from Hi Di Hi and Michael Caine. In the future I’d like to do more tours and filming. When people perform they gradually get more confident, make more choices and move up. Heart ‘n Soul is about being who you are and someone who loves to do a lot of things.
