Our Scene

 
 

If you are aged ten to twenty-five, have a learning disability
and are talented then we want to hear from you!

Our Scene is led by a group of young people and is the name we are giving
to everything we do with young people here at Heart n Soul.

It is made up of:

  • The Squidz Club, where they get to showcase their work
  • Creative training sessions called Do Your Own Thing which happen on Saturdays leading up to The Squidz Club. They offer young people new to the arts training in music, dance, drama or digital arts
  • Media skills training
  • Technical skills training as part of I Did That
  • A new Our Scene website
  • Young people taking control and helping make decisions in the Our Scene steering team
  • Young people encouraging their friends and families to get involved by promoting the project to their friends
  • We also aim to help ten groups around the UK set up similar projects by the end of 2010.
