The Media Team training course June 2010 - May 2012:

In the first half of the course the Media Team took part in training sessions once per week. They gained skills in:

* Film making

* Film editing

* Website design

* Reporting
 and presenting stories

In the second half of the course the team created their own projects for Heart n Soul while continuing with their training. The projects included:

* Games Through Our Eyes - a website for the London 2012 Paralympic Games

* Archive Presentation - shown to over 2,000 people at The Beautiful Octopus Club at the Royal Festival Hall

* The Other Side of Us - A short film created in collaboration with Chocolate Films.

Media Team member Lilly Cook talks about her experience of making the film:

"There were four of us in the team and we all did a bit the different roles that are involved in making a film. We were all involved from start to finish, including writing our own individual alter ego poems. We all learnt a lot about the team when we were writing the poems!

I enjoyed all stages of making the film but the stage that stood out for me was the collaboration with the other artists. I want this film to inspire people, to make them realize that they have nothing to lose by trying something new."

The media team trainees were: Lilly Cook, Shalim Ali, Nicola Holley, Laura Jarvis and Poppy Collie.
