Live Heart is made up of Danny Smith, Chris Brierley, Catherine Long and Guy Dartnell.
They use music, visual art, theatre, photography and improvisation to create experimental/performance or live art.
Key themes they explore include identity, choice and feelings.
They have previously performed at the Tate Modern and the Liberty Festival in Trafalgar Square in 2007.
Their show Frameworks is an improvisation using singing, music, words, movement and projected images. Including opera, verbal duets, free movement, the violin, Elvis and laughing, it is an exciting, haunting and poetic piece.
It was first performed at The Beautiful Octopus Club on Friday 24 July 2009. Since then it has been seen at Bristol Jam the UK’s first festival of improvised performance and Tate Modern.
Live Heart are also recent winners of the P&B Cultural Showcase which celebrates local creative talent in Deptford. They won the Performing Arts section.
