From Deptford to Dusseldorf (via Folkestone) –
experimental electronics based funk.
Jazztronics is a musical group which grew out of the Jazz and Electronics groups. The band includes Nick Doyne-Ditmas on guitar and trumpet, Wayne Taylor on keyboards and vocals, Ned Smith on keyboards and Vincent Wolfe on electronic drums. They are also working with guest collaborators including Tilly Hughes on vocals, Tom Challenger on saxophone and visual artist Mia Beard.
They blend a range of musical styles to create their own sound mixing jazz, reggae, rock and electronica.
In 2010 they performed at The Beautiful Octopus Clubs at the Paradise Gardens Festival and the Royal Festival Hall. In 2011 they were the headline acts at the Liberty Festival at the Southbank Centre and performed at Heart n Soul’s 25th anniversary Beautiful Octopus Club at the Royal Festival Hall.
