Underworld magic
We'll be heading underwater for The Squidz Club on Friday 23 September. The club will be turned into a magical underwater world. Look out for mermaids, deep sea divers and some fantastic costumes as we're asking everyone to come in fancy dress. There will also be a new live music café stage with performances from Kali Perkins and Aldean Blair. It's our last club of the year at the Albany, so hope you can make it! Book tickets for the club here. |

Making it happen
Last month we told you the fantastic news that our project the Dean Rodney Singers has been given funding by Unlimited. Unlimited is part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad and will celebrate disability arts, culture and sport in the UK. As part of their research, Dean and visual design consultant Adele Jeffs went to see TeZuka at Sadler's Wells in London. The show mixes music, dance and Japanese manga. See the Dean Rodney Singers promo film here. |

Leading the way
We all know that Lizzie Emeh is a true role model. She became the first solo artist with a learning disability to release an album in the UK in 2009, has toured the world and won a Radar Arts Award. In recognition of this, Lizzie has been invited to Number 10 Downing Street in October! She will be meeting Samantha Cameron, the Prime Minister's wife at an event to celebrate the achievements of disabled leaders. |
