Art	Training and Taking Part	Organisation	Meet I Did That! trainee Rachel


	Dean Rodney Singers Just think, 72 performers, from different countries across the world, all coming together to sing, dance and perform together at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games! This is the vision of our artist Dean who is working on The Dean Rodney Singers project for our upcoming bid to Unlimited which could be performed during London 2012. Unlimited is part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad and will celebrate disability arts, culture and sport in the UK. This month Dean has been busy designing costumes and images for the project. He has also found time to talk to us about some of the other things he’s been up to this month. Read more here.

	Media Team’s Olympic Dreams Dean is not the only one looking ahead to London 2012. This month the Media Team are going to start learning about reporting and presenting stories with communications company Poached Creative. They will look at ways they can tell stories about the games.
	Training and Taking Part Coordinator Holly Stratton went to meet Alison Walsh, Channel 4’s Disability Advisor. Channel 4 will be showing the Paralympic Games on TV. They talked about ways the Media Team could be part of Channel 4’s work. Read more about the Media Team here

	I Did That! Meet Rachel Garwood, a stage management trainee on our I Did That! training course. Rachel is busy getting ready for Heart n Soul’s AGM (Annual General Meeting) on Thursday 10 February. Read more about Rachel here.

	Adults Taking Part Exciting plans are taking place to get our Adults Taking Part project started. The Training and Taking Part team, Holly and Ono, have been going to lots of arts events getting ideas for the project. We have also been talking to people finding out what type of activities they would like to try. This exciting new project needs a new name, so what would you call it? Email us your ideas here.

	Is it a bird, is it a plane… The Young People’s steering team know what young people want from the Squidz Club and have come up with a fantastic theme for the club on Friday 18 March – superheroes! Who is your favourite superhero and why? Let us know on our Twitter page here.

	Funding success Great news! We have started new funding relationships with: Youth Music – they have given us £15,000 a year for two years towards our music projects with young people. Henry Smith Charity – they have given us £30,000 a year for three years towards our training and taking part work.
