Summer festival success
The sun shone on The Beautiful Octopus Club summer festival on Friday 15 July! Over 600 people enjoyed a range of fantastic performances across the Albany. It was also a very special night as our artists Aldean Blair, Kali Perkins, Dean Rodney and Tilley Hughes (left) performed on their own for the first time at the club. Lizzie Emeh also impressed with some new songs, see her on stage here. Plus the Jazztronics performed on the garden stage. See some photos of the night here. |

Green light!
"This is a yee-haw moment!" This is what Dean
said when he found out that Heart n Soul had been awarded a large amount of funding from Unlimited towards The Dean Rodney Singers! Unlimited is part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad and will celebrate disability arts, culture and sport in the UK. The Dean Rodney Singers project will include artists from seven different countries from across the world coming together to make a new kind of music. Mark Williams, Artistic Director of Heart n Soul said, "we are really thrilled. The project gives us a special way to share Dean's musical vision and our mission to a world audience." Looking back
Heart n Soul is going to be twenty-five in December! Over the next few months we thought we'd look back at some of our most memorable moments. Each month we're going to pick some photos from our archive and relive some of the memories from that time. This month our Artistic Director Mark Williams takes us back to 1989 at the launch of Heart n Soul's first ever released single Peace on Earth. See the photos here. |
